Is STS-80 your last mission, if so, how do you feel about this?

NASA has told me not to expect any more flights. I am physically able to do more flights and have the same enthusiasm and energy as always, however, I am totally comfortable with that decision

I am blessed to have been here 30 years and to have been on six spaceflights. There are other aspects, you want other people, all people, to have this experience. I have run a magnificent race, but there is someone else to hand the baton

And it may be that I need others to make this decision. Obviously, people know that I can not stop. I love space and there is no way I can walk away from it. I can never make that decision myself, so, maybe I do need somebody else to make the decision for me. There are great things ahead, such as expressing what is the meaning of spaceflight, catching what it is and bringing it to other people
