While in between missions and training for the next mission, what responsibilities do you hold at NASA?

One of the things I enjoy doing most between missions is to be the Capsule Communicator in Mission Control and to talk to other missions. The last two times between missions that's what I've done. It let's me, vicariously, live those experiences. It brings me back into space. It keeps me very, very current on the latest procedures that are going on.
